Laguna Torre, Cerro Torre hike.

One of the trekkings with more clues of the recent glacier’s pass. Not only the geology lovers will find it interesting to read the traces of time. The constant view of the Grande Glacier, the impressive Cerro Solo’s hanging glacier and the promise of the emblematic Mount  Torre are enough for those who look for a walk with beautiful landscapes and not so much effort. If the weather is ok and the group is not too tired, the trekking in the very last moraine will take you to a stunning aerial view of the Grande glacier. Group Size. Max 15 pax. Laguna de los Tres, Fitz Roy hike.

Laguna de los tres, on the Fitz Roy Valley, is an amazing viewpoint of Mount Fitz Roy and its glaciers. This classic and demaning hike will amaze you with its beauty and surroundings. This trip offers the possibility to hike around Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, through the Southern Ice field, and back To El Chalten.  The Patagonia Ice FIield is the third biggest mass of ice in the World after Antarctica and Greenland, and the biggest if you think outside the polar surface. It extends from North to South for 350 km. 49 Glaciers begin here such us Upsala Glacier (902 km²), Marconi, Glacier, Viedma Glacier (978 km²) and Perito Moreno (258 km²) in Argentina and Pio XI, O'Higgins and Grey in Chile. With this program Patagonia Hikes gives you the possibility of, in alone 3 days and with a moderate technical difficulty, to experience places in which few people have been, and to appreciate from Paso del Viento part of the Southern Patagonian Ice field, the Viedma Glacier and the Mariano Moreno Cord, all these unique places that are so hard to see in a different and easy way. From 2 to 5 people. October till April.  This national park counts with two of the most incredible mountain cords of the world, Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy. What we offer with this program is to give you the opportunity to enter between these two gigantic massifs, and to have the possibility of enjoying, from an unique place, by walking on glaciers, the west face of the Fitz Roy massif ; and even closer the east face of Cerro Torre. All these surrounded by an indescribable Glacier geography. Previous mountaineering experience or with the use of crampons is required. The long journeys on the glacier although will require good physical condition. Huemul Circuit. 5 days.

Throughout the years this hike has become one of the most popular hikes. This trekking consists in a five day hike around The Huemul Mountain. Its particular components involve different types of terrains, climbs, flora, and fauna allowing us, in only a few days, to get to know a remote places, including an amazing view of the Southern Ice Field. This Circuit involves semi technical terrains, such us snow, glaciers and moraines. With a 60km length, this circuit has from 800 to 1600 mts elevations. Entering from Rio Túnel Valley up to Paso del Viento, by The Viedma Glacier up and out through Paso Huemul. No previous experience is required, but you do need good physical condition, since long hiking journeys are involved in this circuit. We will also carry large backpacks form 15 to 20 kg. You can hire porters. 

Cerro Torre Base Camp + Paso del Viento. 6 days

From 2 to 4 people. October till April.  This national park counts with two of the most incredible mountain cords of the world, Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy. What we offer with this program is to give you the opportunity to enter between these two gigantic massifs, and to have the possibility of enjoying, from an unique place, by walking on glaciers, the west face of the Fitz Roy massif ; and even closer the east face of Cerro Torre. All these surrounded by an indescribable Glacier geography. We will cross De Las Agachonas Pass, and amazing hike up to Laguna Toro Camp. From there we will reach Paso Del Viento, spectacular views of the incredible Ice field. Spend a night in our Eco Domes. 16km away from El Chalten village, on route 23 to Lago del Desierto, surrounded by mountains and nature, with amazing Fitz Roy views, Patagonia Eco Domes offer luxury ecological domes with private bathroom, right on the headtrail to Laguna de los tres and glaciar Piedras blancas. The complex is located 15km away from el Chalten, next to Los Glaciares National Park, counts with unique views of Mount Fitz Roy and private access to Laguna de los tres trail. It is located in a 3 hectare area surrounded by forest and streams. The only conventional walk in which you can glimpse the little valley in between the mytical peaks: the Niponino campsite, climbers’ camping area. 4 hours one way, 3 of them upwards.
